About Me

My Name is Katie Davies I’m a 19 year old multi-intrumentalist (Guitar, Bass & Keys) and Vocalist (Cleans & Harsh). I have been doing music my whole life. I am a metalhead and play extreme genres but i alsp have experience in lots of other genres through studio recordings, gigging and session work.

I started properly gigging when i was 15 years old and done shows as a kid since i was around 6 years old. I have been in a good few bands and projects now and currently have a project in the works with my boyfriend whos also a musician, Ive also done a lot of session work for friends of mines and i enjoy both sides of the industry it has taught me a lot.

Ive played gigs solo and in bands this has given me a look into how both of these situations work and definetely built on the kind of sound and musician i want to be and be seen as. I can also learn music by ear and play to what anyone is playing in the moment this certainly helps when jamming and writing music with people especially new people such as in session work.

Since ive went to college ive had a lot of cool experiences too ive also met and played with some really awesome and talented people ive also been taught sides to recording music (myself and others), setting up sound systems and theory. As well as writing my own music as part of this which i was doing but this gave me an excuse to do it more often.

I also design my own designs to go with the music im making as well as selling myself to people as a trustworthy and skilled musician who people can rely on. I love art as well as music and i think this benefits me as a musician too.

I also love essay work and have gotten very skilled at this as well as planning for tours and organising events, this skill is very useful for planning some of my own events or lining my friends up for events. Ive also done some roadie work and working at events as well (such as being a cashier) so i can do both practical and admin work when needed.

Outside of college i spend a lot of my time mastering my craft but i also lovegoing motorbiking, i love getting tattoos, i love going out with friends and my boyfriend gaming with them, i love writing and creating art and reading, But thats just a little insight into me and some of the skills i can bring to the table as a musician.

My Near Future Aspirations currently are to get onto HNC sound production after my HND in live performance and also toget more gigs and session work and also to make more originals and release them.
